Come with Zingerman’s Food Tours to explore amazing artisanal food right here in Zingerman’s own backyard, in the foodie paradise that is Michigan’s beautiful Traverse City / Leelanau Peninsula area.
We have created a very special 3-day tour, packed full of tasting, eating, drinking, and learning about great food and beverages directly from the artisans who make them! These producers will open their workshops to us and share their passion for what they do.
The local food scene up there is thriving – from farmers and cheesemakers to chefs and winemakers, everyone we talk to in that area is really excited about what’s happening there, and how vibrant, and delicious, their local food web has become. And they are proud to share their knowledge, and the delicious fruits of their labors, with us.
Who?
The trip is designed for travelers with a passion for great food that is made the way it was done hundreds of years ago.
Our guests are adults of all ages, from all over the country. Since the tour is only 3 days long, our days will be fully planned, with visits to producers and restaurants. We encourage our guests to consider going back again in the future, to explore the many shopping and sightseeing opportunities, and try additional restaurants that struck your fancy.
We keep the group small. Only 15 guests traveling with two leaders from Zingerman’s Food Tours.
What Is Included?
Behind-the-scenes visits to artisanal producers of excellent food, wine, and cider in Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula.
All meals from Friday lunch through Sunday lunch. Our meals will be focused around fresh local ingredients, and we have created partnerships with wonderful local chefs, caterers, and wineries who take pride in their focus on local artisanal products.
Two Zingerman’s tour leaders will be at your disposal at all times.
Transportation by air-conditioned private bus.
Housing in one of Traverse City’s best full-service hotels.
What Is Not Included?
Alcoholic beverages other than the wine or cider provided with a meal or tasting.
