Foods · Sicily, Italy · May 20-30, 2019 · SOLD OUT - waiting list

We will visit local artisan food producers, including: A hundred year old chocolate maker in Modica. A traditional cheesemaker in Ragusa. A producer of wonderful dessert wines in the famed region of Marsala. And we will visit the lovely estate of a traditional olive oil producer in Castelvetrano. We will learn about and taste the amazing products they make.

In our meals together we aim to provide a unique dining experience that highlights the regional, and seasonal, specialties in the parts of Sicily that we visit. Sicily being an island, this will often include wonderfully fresh seafood. You will sample traditional dishes from set menus featuring fresh, local, in-season ingredients. Because of the time and attention that goes into this our lunch and dinner menus will be planned in advance. If you have any food allergies, or foods that you can not eat, please inform us during the registration process and we will work hard to meet your needs.

Inclusive of the trip are all breakfasts, four lunches, and seven dinners (including house wine).

Fresh ripe figs picked right off the tree in Ragusa

Garlic, capers, and olives in the market in Palermo.

Traditional Sicilian almond paste (marzipan), called Pasta Reale

Traditional cow's milk cheeses being made at a family dairy farm outside Ragusa
