Space on this trip is limited to up to 18 participants.

As you think about making your travel arrangements, we highly recommend flying in a few days early, to give yourself time to adjust to the time change before the tour starts, and also to explore the city of Florence, since we do not do so on the tour. Let us know if you would like hotel recommendations.

Payment*

50% of your trip cost with your application will hold your space!
The balance of the trip fee is due no later than two months before we go.

MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express, personal or business checks made payable to “Zingerman’s” are most welcome.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancel before the end of June and receive 100% of your deposit back.
Cancel between July 1 and September 1 receive 50% of your deposit back.
Cancel after September 1, forfeit 100% of deposit.

Trip cancellation must be made by calling Zingerman’s Food Tours at 888-316-2736 and must be followed by written confirmation via mail, or fax to that same number.

What about Travel Insurance?

We recommend getting travel insurance in case of emergency situations; there are many options out there. The New York Times ran an article about travel insurance in September 2009; they recommend using comparison web sites such as www.squaremouth.com, and, that you call the insurance agent to learn more about the details, once you’ve located a policy that looks like it might meet your needs. Squaremouth.com and the other sites (such as InsureMyTrip.com and QuoteWright.com) have 800 numbers and offer that service.

Changes in Tour Program

We will make every effort to provide the tours and experiences that are described in our itinerary. However, the nature of the places we’ll be visiting — not typical tourist destinations — means that plans may change at the last minute. You always have the option of skipping a particular excursion, but please note that we will be unable to make refunds for any missed meals or other events.

Airline Tickets

If you have a favorite travel agent, please feel free to have them book your ticket. We do not have travel agent capabilities ourselves, sorry. However we will be glad to share what we have learned about current fares and connections from our own research, just ask.
