We will be based in two areas. We will begin and end our travels in Budapest, where we will explore the city and its excellent markets, coffee-houses, and restaurants, and food and wine producers both within and outside the city.

In the middle of the trip we will spend several nights in Tokaj, and visit wonderful producers in that area as well.

In addition to exploring Budapest and Tokaj, we will also spend time in Eger (a historic Baroque town), Mád (a village that was once a prominent Jewish settlement), Tolcsva (with its amazing underground wine cellars), Erdőbenye (a little village known for its cooperage [oak barrel making]), and Szeged (famous for its paprika production).
