London’s Calling

Why?

Fewer places in the world house are as historically significant and recognizable as London, yet the city was often the butt of most food jokes. In short, British cuisine was famous for not being very interesting. After traveling to London and much of the British Empire for more than three decades, we can assure you that reputation is dead wrong. Come to London and discover just how rich, varied, and delicious the London food scene has become. Join us for a walk through the backdrop of British nobility, industrial triumph and the influence of foreign trade on the cities culinary history. We’ll explore the flavor melting pot of London and its surrounding countryside.  Through this adventure, we’ll learn from and team up with our friends at Neal’s Yard Dairy for an afternoon of traditional British cheese, we’ll explore the local markets, we’ll take part in a British baking class and we’ll uncover the English wine scene, so new it feels like a secret. During our nine-day adventure, we’ll understand the evolution of British cuisine and why London has become one of the world’s amazing food cities.
